Day 2 Oh I do like to be beside the seaside!

After a reasonable nights sleep once the cars had stopped racing up and down the esplanade! It was off to the coastal town of Clacton on Sea and the second pier of the trip. Parking here was much more difficult, the Council obviously not so encouraging to campervan tourist's as Southend. After some driving about I settled on a plan of car park by day and side road by night, I am beginning to learn that camp sites are never or rarely close enough to walk from to central locations! Hmmm maybe a cycle is going to be the next purchase? or an electric scooter??

The evening was very pleasant and quiet, sunset happened with some reasonable light and sunrise was even better. Access to the pier was free and this one was more like the piers of my childhood, amusements, amusements and amusements! Most sadly closed because of COVID but there were some things open as well as the usual coffee and ice cream and donut cabins!

Clacton is very much an old fashioned seaside town for families and then the other end of the spectrum hen and stag parties but an enjoyable place nonetheless although it will not be a regular trip for me. I think there are more interesting piers and resorts to be found on this photographic journey, so Colin and I packed up and travelled home. Till the next time!
